In case you’d like to transfer a domain name from one domain registrar to another, you will need a unique transfer authorization code, which may be referred to by various names – an EPP authentication code, an Auth code, a domain password, etc. All these names designate the same thing – a code that the domain name owner gets from the present registrar and provides to the new one during the order process. Without a genuine code, a transfer cannot be started and this is one of the security mechanisms against unauthorized transfers used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For better safety, the code comprises of numbers and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so if you’d like to transfer one of your domains, you have to supply the new domain registrar with the correct code.

When you log into your Hepsia Control Panel and visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all the domain names that you’ve registered through us shown in alphabetical order. Next to each domain, you’ll notice a small EPP icon for all Top-Level Domain extensions that require a code in order to be transferred between companies. Clicking the icon will email the EPP code to the domain name owner’s email address immediately. In the same section you can also see and eventually update the email address, if the one there is not valid anymore.
